When are PTO meetings?

General PTO meetings for the 2023-24 school year will start at 7pm on the dates listed below.  Meetings are conducted in the Ross Elementary School Cafeteria, please enter through the front entrance closest to the auditorium (not the main entrance). Everyone is encouraged to attend.

What does the PTO do for the school?

Ross Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports our teachers, staff, students, and school family in a variety of ways. We begin our work with the Back to School Social in August and end the year with Field Day in May, but we have many other events, upgrades, and initiatives in between.

The PTO is responsible for funding all playground upgrades and purchasing all hands-on activity equipment used during recess. The organization also covers all costs associated with special days throughout the year like Author’s Day, school assemblies, family movie nights and Book Bingo. Some other actions made possible by the PTO include staff appreciation events, yearbooks, school directories, clubs, and funding field trip transportation for the nearly 500 students currently enrolled at Ross.

How do I become a member?

All parents and guardians of students currently enrolled at Ross are automatically members of Ross PTO. Other members include all staff members employed at Ross Elementary.
